So I went to this little Thai place in Houma tonight.

I got the Satay Chicken App as usual and also got a dish simply named spicy basil which comprised of your selection of meat (or a veggie/tofu blend) some snow pears and grilled peppers. The sauce was a very savory sweet chili and basil sauce. It's better than 90% of the food you underlings have ever eaten.

of the oddest places you'd ever think had great thai food...Cincinnati has some of the best Thai restaurants Ive ever been to.

Teak, in Mt. Adams is amazing.

Rama. It is in a cinderblock building. No windows and it will look closed. It is very very good.

They used to serve a lemon grass soup that was great as an appetizer, not sure if they still do.

I have yet to find good thai food in nola. I'll try the place mentioned in this thread. the best i have found is cafe equator in fat city, and it's just solid. the place by cooter brown's is awful.

KJI, Hope the Rama "Mee Krob" has been upgraded to edible since the last time we were there. (Late 80's)

I wouldn't know J. I learned my lesson from your order that evening. That is a evidently a popular order there though, go figure.

Rama--I've noticed that a lot of their recipes have changed for the better over the seven or so years I've been going there.

It's called La Thai Uptown. It's the same place that used to be on Metairie Road in front of Taj Mahal, so if you went to that one and didn't like it, save yourself the trip. I do think it's pretty good though.

They do and its awesome. And the spicy rama is a must have. If ever have a head cold go there and it will be cleared out quickly.
