Our starting and ending lineup has 4 negative defenders (CJ/JV due to athletic limitations and BI/Zion due to effort). Running a switch defense with 4 sub-defenders is a recipe for disaster. BI or Zion losing contain and Herb or JV having to slide over leaving an open paint happens at least a dozen times a game. Trey Murphy needs to be in the closing lineup not only for his shooting but his length on defense.

Leads vanish when they stop running plays, stop moving the ball and possessions turn into one touch possessions over and over and over.

They went 3 minutes last game not making a bucket. 3 turnovers and 4 missed shots.

It’s hard to lose a lead if you score. It’s real easy to lose a lead when you don’t score.

Defense is no where near a big problem.

The Pels offense is highly impacted when the refs swallow their whistle. The Pels are small market and the league will want to keep the games close.

If the Pels were a better shooting team they could probably withstand a little of the officiating manipulation and the games would get closed out with the opposing team giving up.

Zion, JV, and others start cooking. The opposing defense collapses into the paint to stop it. The Pels get out front. The refs just stop calling fouls on the opposing defense in the paint and they start murdering our guys. We start missing and turning it over. We lose our big lead because our shooting isn’t good enough. People come online and complain about Zion turning it over or missing when he is obviously getting hacked by several defenders and the refs decided to stop calling anything. Items where a Damien Lillard or Chris Paul may have died in the paint.
