re: Parents of late teens: what are you routing your kids to?
Posted by Colonel Flagg on 3/1/26 at 9:27 am to GatorPA84
The reality is there are still jobs out there to make money, but it requires people to work for it. There will be time and life sacrifices to earn real money. This delusion of easy money comes from them watching the select few entertainers making money for nothing on social media.
Younger generations have not necessarily grasped the idea that they will be working to provide for others when they start a family.
Now if they want to be single and have no kids then they can work hard at times so that they can have fun when they are off. That is the life decision.
Technology is just changing it where people cannot make money pushing paper around. It is enhancing others in ways where they can get just as much done with less people.

Sucks the Wiz has to attach Poole to the CJ for Bey trade.
Poole is an expiring next season. Not a big deal. The Pels are in a solid cap situation really

That’s a 62% win percentage. That is home playoff series in the 1st round range in either conference.
The organization blew it by letting Willie coach too long. Herb is important for defensive purposes. The longer lineups have been successful recently. The emergence of Bey has been great.
They have to figure how to keep people healthy on the roster to create consistency. They have upside with two young rookies and continued Missi development.
It is frustrating to see them struggle when they clearly have a large handful of talented players. The roster is not as poor as the board makes it out to be.

Absolutely no reason to trade the Pacers pick until right before the draft.
Halliburton could have just as easily torn his Achilles in practice or working out right after the draft. It was a freak injury.
It is the same thing with Murray. The trade looked solid. Murray was excited to come to the Pels and then he has a freak Achilles injury.

2022 and 2025 were not good
I will be honest. I have never even heard anything from bad bunny. Never searched it out. I have been well aware of all the other recent artist.

All the teams outside of the play-in just gave up at the trade deadline. They aren’t even wanting to compete.
The team should have been much better this season and it was mainly a function Willie Green being horrible.
The team has talent and some nice rookies.
The Indiana trade was unfortunate, but they basically blew up the team and had a crazy freak injury.
The Atlanta pick will be closer to 8-10 in my opinion when all is said and done. No clue how the trade discussion went, but Queen and Fears were great picks.

Did I miss something? When did we get our lottery pick back?
They didn’t. They are probably going to out perform all the teams outside the play-in currently the rest of the season. The Pels are better than their record. They are 9-6 when Herb plays since December. So the starting 5 rotation they have now has been working.

Pels will end up being a late lottery team by the end of the season.
The biggest miss was not immediately firing Green.
The Indiana trade was kind of crazy. The Pacers superstar has a devastating injury and they just decide to tank/blow it up.

The easiest thing to fix the 3pt line issue is to cap the reward of 3pt shots. Don’t move the line. Just make it where after so many makes it turns to 2pt shots. You can still shoot out there for spacing; however, you will not get the extra point.
Make it 2 made 3s per quarter that result in 3pts up until the last 3 minutes of the game. The last 3 minutes of the game there is no cap. That way until the last three minutes of the game you could only have 8 made 3s worth 3pts. At a 35% rate that is only 23 attempts at that point until maxed out.
It isn’t that crazy of a change as they have changed fouls results and foul limits over the years based off of time in the game.
The NBA should like it, as neutralizing perimeter shooting gives them more influence over the officiating and outcome of the game.
This change would end this nonsense with a quickness.

Zion is the only player that would make sense to move that may have value.
Herb, Trey, Sadiq are the perfect players to build on great contracts. We will doubtfully get anything back that would make sense.
No way you would want to trade Fears or Queen either.
