I’ve got the Souls itch with the Elden Ring DLC coming out soon and stumbled across this game. It starts slow but ends up being pretty fun. Reminds me of Lies of P a lot.
Has anyone played Thymesia? Was going to knock that out next

This is a rather popularly known one at this point but if you haven’t checked it out or heard of it and want a pretty good souls like with some rough around the edges polish and game design try code vein. It’s also one of the easier larger known in the genre (3 million copies sold and published by Bandai) so lighter stress than usual could be fun in prep for shadows.

Code Vein looks right up my alley

It’s got one of the more impressive character creations are kind enjoy going wild with it. I personally made a blue haired ugly woman (well as ugly as the game will allow) and did a larp as them having the survive this which feeds into the games other main big mechanic or draw, the ai companions you become friends with and can choose which one you take with you. For most people the tank you start with will be likely the best the whole game until you’re good at the game.

Cool setting but very janky gameplay and lots of bugs
Yes, very very lackluster
