Is Walk Ons struggling?

Walk-On's was a couple months away from its three-year anniversary in Wilmington as it opened in July 2021, according to prior coverage of the restaurant's opening.
Other chain locations are scattered throughout the Southern United States, but the Wilmington location isn't the only regional location that has closed. Fayetteville and Myrtle Beach's Walk-On's locations have also closed.

Did the same franchisee own all 3 locations?

I'll give Supper Club another 6 months before it mysteriously closes

Supper Club may go the private event venue route like Red Stick bowling alley

Ever since "covid" it seems like they changed their food quality and it has been shite ever since, imo.

it's kinda hard for a place like walk ons to not become trashy. And the people that will regularly pay $9 for a beer don't like going to trashy places.

Food went from above average franchise bar food to now middle of the pack. It just lost its luster, both the food and environment.

They didn't last very long in Chattanooga. I'm not sure they even made it a year. They had a good spot right by the Aquarium.

There is no way they do enough business to turn a profit.

Fayetteville
You sure about that. The one we stay by is the busiest damn place I’ve ever walked into.
Was thinking Arkansas…you mean a different one I assume.
I know one in Florida closed as well…

Made the same mistake most franchises do and expanded to fast?
The food is pretty good imo, and the beer is always ice cold.
Hard to get decent service industry workers these days or managers that aren’t creeps

The one in Town Center in BR is a dump now

But it’s definitely been there the longest out of all the other places that have been there, Champps, Mugshots, etc.

The general public still has a small window of time on weekends to bowl

I’ve only ever been to the Covington,LA location of Walk Ons, and the few times we went it was pretty good, until the last time. I ordered shrimp and grits and it was a cold mess. The Chimes in Covington is better than Walk Ons in every way possible. Using St.Tammany Parish as an example of people eating out VS the majority of the country isn’t a fair comparison.

Both were decent. Don’t forget about Fox and Hound down the street.
That was also a great place for beers and food.

The one in Covington sucked a week after it opened. It may be better now but it was worse than BWW nearby. That says a lot it was bad.
