Just opened up my line 6 helix LT and updating all of the firmware. Any tips before I dive into this?

In the back of my mind if feel like I might have made the wrong decision with not getting a tube amp to replace my broken one.

You won’t once you hear it through a daw. I traded my tubes for a cheap modeler a couple months ago. I had been on the fence about it, but last week, we recorded a jam session where I just di’d my “amp” into the mixer which fed into a daw. shite sounded immaculate. My actual tube amp has never sounded that good mic’d up.

I love how my amp sounds in my house, but it often disappointed mic’d up live.

I bought my helix floor in '21 (I think) used. I flip a lot of gear and it's one of the few things I've kept. I play through it most of the time.

What are you going to play it through? I mostly play through my PA, but also play it through a power amp and cab. Sounds great with both.

Watch Jason Sadites videos on youtube. He's great. There are lots of free presets on line6 customtone. A lot of them suck, some are really good. I bought a lot of presets, some of them are great and some suck.

Im just playing through headphones at home. If I start to figure out this thing and I like it I’ll probably get some studio monitors or something like that.
