St Augustine Turning Yellow

Father in law put sod down sometime last sept or October. He watered regularly and it looks good just yellow.
He doesn’t care really but I’m wondering what fertilizer can he use to make it green like it should be?

St Aug doesn’t turn yellow from lack of fert. Iron chlorosis, early church bug damage, not fully rooted?

It’s not dead looking or spotty yellow, it’s the whole yard. The soil the sod was placed on is batture dirt around 6-10’ deep from a pond that was being dug. I assume that dirt lacks nutrition.

I used 13-13-13 on my parents St Aug lawn once. My father had to mow it twice each week that year. He told me to never fertilize it ever again. Lol
