Looks like I look when I think I know the words to a song then realize I don’t.

But as a 45 year old white male, I do know the majority of the words to this song, I’m pathetic!
I still use an Abercrombie 1/4 zip sweater my high school girlfriend gave me as a gift over 26 years ago.

I still wear my button down polo shirt I took senior pics in over 26 years ago.
Man that’s my favorite commercial currently

“Those guys are crazy”
Purple master bedroom, blue kitchen/dining room, tan living room and boys bedroom. Green exterior.
Looks like I’m still in the 1920’s, 50’s and 60’s thanks to my wife.
I killed a buck this evening and wondering if any of yall had luck using real tarsal glands to attract bucks in a different area? I’m talking about maybe 5-20 miles away, not from north Louisiana to south Louisiana.

Old timers when I was a kid would cut them and hang them around their stand but don’t really remember them killing much.

I’d assume it would depend on the temperament of bucks where you introduce the glands to.

If you have had success, how’d you use them? Just hang them in tree nearby? Did you call/rattle also? Thanks!
Lack of rain is slowing the rotting process down. Deer are 100% still eating acorns tonight in my area.
I’ve told numerous fellas that swms needed a bad year so bucks have a chance to get a year older. I’m not mad at this season at all.

Next year will be fantastic! As you stated the deer should be healthier and a bit larger going into spring green up.
This season has been slow for a ton of people I talk to and I STRONGLY believe it’s due to the large mast crop of acorns. Deer simply don’t have to travel as far for food.

I busted the gut on one of my sons bucks he killed and the amount of acorns in his gut was astonishing! WAY more acorns than browse or corn. This was last week, not beginning of November. Lack of rain has slowed down the rotting process of acorns also this year.

Add in the hot tempatures and boom, here we are with a slower than average season.
Posted day before yesterday
Due to acorns, we’ve had warm winters and people have seen deer. I blame this cruddy season on an abundance of acorns!

Gotcha, I’m not terribly far from ya.

Been slow on public and private this year.
They not where I’m at anyway.
lol, better get them hounds hydrated!!
Orange hat and vest on public and it doesn’t come off whether sitting on ground or in my climber.

If I’m packing my climber in I have an orange vest I keep tied on it for more visibility.

I just laugh at these retards on YouTube who wear an orange vest but commence to covering up vest with giant back packs and giant boxes on their chest to carry binos.
What are some good/decent brands to buy?

Do they have good “pre-made” rigs with baits already on?
I made the 1st velvet season hunt in ms, killed a decent 8pt but probably won’t do it again.

It took ZERO skill (and I suck at bow hunting) to shoot that deer. Deer are on a pretty unbreakable pattern that time of year so if you have deer showing up to a salt lick or feeder you will kill one.

If they allowed it on public land I’d do it again but too easy on private. Plus all the bull crap with the mandatory cwd sample for that hunt, nope.

Curious as to where you were at? Not gps coordinates but round about idea.
