Garmin Customer Service is the BEST

Just wanted to share an experience:
Last year I bought a used boat with a Garmin Force trolling motor. It's great but not long ago the spot lock started acting weird so I pulled the remote out to recalibrate. Remote wouldn't come on at all even after replacing batteries, so I called Garmin. No questions about receipts, age, condition, or anything - they just emailed me a shipping label with which to send it back. Within three days I got an email confirming receipt and saying my replacement would be on the way soon. Maybe two weeks later I get an email saying my replacement was en route with a tracking number, and the next day it arrived at my house.
No charge at all, not even shipping. Haven't had much Garmin equipment before, but my future stuff will certainly be.
TLDR: Garmin service is badass.

I was just on the phone with them yesterday as I can no longer calibrate my transducer. The guy was super nice and gave me two things to try before going through a replacement. Was very pleased.

I like the fact that if you have an older 76xx series and the screen delaminates they replace for free with the newer 86xx series for free. Even if not original owner or in warranty.

Agreed. They sent me an entirely new mount and cables trying to fix a problem that was really a boat issue instead of a Garmin issue

I've heard nothing but good things about their customer service but after some super common software issue with livescope their customer service has people a little ticked off.
Hundreds of people in the livescope facebook group called and every one had the same "this is the first time we're hearing of this?" bs answer from them and kept playing down the issue. As far as replacement, like in your case, I've heard they're great tho.
