I'm interested to see what the weekend totals end up being and if it has any legs or not.

projections for domestic opening have been increased from 160 mil to 180

I know little small town theaters that are totally sold out already for Sat and Sunday shows.
This is a $2B film.

I can’t wait to see it! Going to see Twisters as well for a double feature.

Man times like this make me miss living in Massachusetts. We had the Mendon Drive In that did double features. Granted they have Deadpool and Twisters split between their two screens. But Deadpool is still paired with Long legs, so not bad for $35 per car. Wife and I would pop the back up, fold down the back row, and we lay down with the kids and watch both movies.

Bit out of reach for an R-Rated film. But a $200 million opening weekend domestic is possible, while unlikely.
But it could beat Joker's 1 billion worldwide to become the highest grossing R movie ever.

Yes, I think it hits 200 OW. I'm just disputing that it gets to 2B. That's absurd, IMO.

I'm happy for them, because the first two were good, but I just can't do any more multiverse shite. I'll wait for it to hit the streams.

Just shelled out big bucks to see it with the family tommorrow.

It acknowledges and actively mocks the multiverse

highly doubtful this could pull the numbers in China needed to do that.

If my cousin calls and really wants to go, I'll give it a shot. It definitely seems as though it will do very well. I hear people everywhere saying they're going.
A frickload of middle school kids are going to have to sneak into this one for it to clear $2 bil., though.

I’m going to a 920 showing in Bossier. Just checked seating for all shows, including IMAX for the rest of the night and they’re all not even half full. Slow down there boss.

Just left the movie theatre. That's how you do a marvel movie.

You’re in fricking Bossier boss

It was definitely a fun movie. Also did some great tips of the hat to marvels past work (coming fun at some of their duds too). Always love a movie that brings a fun soundtrack to the film.

Looking at today's local screen times.
There's a 2AM showing (Sunday)
That's a bit much.
