That was the intended pun I was making from the very start!

Absolutely possible, but a giant stone structure raises questions about the "advanced" status of that precursor civilization.

I don't even know what that's supposed to mean. A massive megalithic structure built 1000's (?) of years before the 'known' Egyptian dynasties does raise questions and is fascinating to say the least.

We hear 'advanced technology' and immediately some think lasers and levitation beams. But that's not what anyone should think at all. Just how does a bronze age (or earlier) civilization with no known preceding skills in architecture, engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, etc... on any capable scale construct such structures?

'Slaves and a bunch of rope' doesn't even begin to explain it.
Maybe if I had some of Tucker‘s Qatar money, I might change my tune too.

Not that it would change any of the facts though.
Anyone else find it funny that they’re calling the police when they’re the ones who probably want to defund the police?
I honestly don’t see what the big deal is. Israel is duty bound to defend itself first and it can also be an ally.

How are people confused that 2 things can be right at the same time?
I was hesitant to open this thread.

Great stuff.
The Sphinx was definitely built before the Pharaohs, that’s why they’re starting to cover up the erosion which totally was not made by sand.
Ben is cool. I’ve pitched him a few shekels for his work.

Count the # of times 'Atlantis' has been brought up in ANY political debate, conversation, campaign... :dunno:

Unlike ancient Greek or Rome, which has direct through lines to our current day political concepts, what does Atlantis have? We can't even decide if it was real or not.

More of an OT topic, no?

But on the topic, the Azores ( Randall Carlson ) or the Eye of the Sahara ( Jimmy Corsetti ) are the top 2 candidates.

I'm leaning to the idea that "Atlantis" proper, what we think of, was located in the Azores, and the Eye of the Sahara location was built on a natural formation that had ties to the ancient 'homeland' that was Atlantis.

Just my head canon, no real basis.

Odd that both locations would seeminly be washed away with massive amounts of water though, come to think of it. There are clear indications of flood lines across N. Africa which cut right across the Eye of the Sahara, to the western shores..

ha-ha. Never heard that one, it was always a number of miles, in the snow, uphill each way.

College was $1500 a quarter in the 80s also

At an Ivy league college?

My brother had a receipt from like 1980. 1 quarter was like under $300. Wanna say something like $240-260 or something like that.

Even by the late 80's where'd you get 1,500?

Don't you mean your wife's ?

you do you, :dunno:

I really used to like British TV. Not so much anymore.

Not sure if you meant it this way, but looking at the teaser, there's clearly 2 different Godzilla forms. The one emerging from the water has far more plates and spikes, while the one strolling by the Statue of Liberty resembles G Minus 1 version.

Is the NYC version a dream sequence? Does it happen earlier in the movie, causing the Americans to nuke him and then leading him to reform AGAIN? Are there now 2 different Godzillas?

The top G-fans are speculating that we'll see King Ghidorah, but I'm still skeptical on that. Maybe a second one forms, maybe we get Biollante or Hedorah.

I'd rather they save Hedorah for a later movie, if we get down that path. I suspect we'll get a longer pause if there even is 3rd movie.

Depends on the content. Some are a blizzard of ads, while others are almost free of them.

The AI is getting very devious too in when the ads pop up. It's clearly reading keywords and picking out peak moments to drop the ads, and it's super annoying. Not just sprinkled in at random points.
Does it matter? Once they realized they can make more money off of ad sales, the services no longer care about premium 'ad free' tiers. They make more money WITH ads, and before too long, it'll be ads on premium packages as well, just not as many.
Who ever it is that benefits the most from them making straight up beneficial decisions, so I'm thinking globalist leaders, Leftists. like Soros, members of the EU, etc...

Don't forget, it was the Brits who gave us the Steele dossier, with their intel network colluding with Russian assets. It was never TRUMP doing anything wrong, just those who didn't like what he was likely to do once in office.
Many progressives love to dunk on and mock the idea of the idealism that was the 1950's, but forget some really important facts.

Globally, the US was the lone super power, a major manufacturing nation that didn't have to rebuild after WW2. England, Germany, France, Japan, Russia... all were decimated structurally from the war. That was a major benefit and it carried over for a few years until Europe caught up. (thanks in large part to us helping them rebuild)

So frick yeah the 50's were 'the good ole days' and for good reason. Shove that 'muh racism' chit, no time period is utopian but things can be objectively better for the greater part of society.
