Watched IF last night with the wife and kids. My clone older daughter and I were fairly bored. She laughed a few times. The emotional wife and younger daughter spent half of the movie crying. I guess it works out to entertaining, but nothing I'd watch again. One of the better aspects of the movie is the voice cast; Lots of good actors and well produced.

It was pretty terrible.
It was really slow in the beginning and just never really recovered.

I thought it was pretty good. My girls all enjoyed it.

it’s bad at being a “kid” movie for younger kids because of the adult themes it deals with and it’s really not that funny, but as an adult watching it the plot is all over the place and the pacing is strange
it’s a good movie and idea that they couldn’t figure out the audience

SPOILER ALERT
I felt it was never clearly defined what was happening when they paired imaginary friends back with the people who imagined them.

Well damn. I recorded it on my DVR the other day for my four year old son. Not sure he’ll like it.

He’ll watch it and laugh at the big purple guy, the crazy characters and the fart joke, but I doubt he’ll be super invested or want to watch it again

My five year old couldn't get into it, but she scares easy so YMMV.

Yes they could see them at the end

Glad I didn't end up taking my kids to see it in theaters
Not that the movie was bad, but the marketing was misleading as all hell.
Kids enjoyed the IFs but the overall theme of the movie was more coming of age, dealing with grief, not at all younger kid material. They weren't traumatized but found it relatively boring.

I was (very) mildly disappointed but it's definitely worth watching and my daughter loved it
