Blackening seasoning. Hit pan with Butter oil mix. Cook until your liking.
Serve with salad.
Or native style with canned veggies and rice

If you got milk corn bacon and potatoes on hand you can also make a quick salmon chowder

grill it over charcoal w/ skin on. Keep temp low. Baste w/ a honey and lemon mixture when you first put it on the grill and 5 minutes later. DO NOT OVER COOK. Err on the side of under cooked. If you have to bake it then bake at 300 for about 10 minutes.

Salt, black pepper, garlic salt, cook under broiler for 1-2 minutes (Stand and watch it - Do not burn) then turn over and cook for 1 minute. Done!
Melt a little butter and baste as soon as it comes out.

Glad you settled on a recipe. Maybe next time give searing it in a cast iron pan a try. Get the pan hot, drop in some butter and lightly sear the salmon on both sides after applying a bit of salt and pepper to it and as it cooks, squeeze a bit of fresh lemon juice on the fish to give it a little zing.
My wife and I love it that way and it's quick to fix.

Allowing the salmon to be the star is a good way t go. For me, simple is better - best.

I like the sound of this
Quick and simple
Just salt and pepper tho?
Fwiw
I seasoned with salt pepper, broiled in a pan with butter for @5 minutes, took out, removed the fish, put in some more butter and honey and made sauce. Put fish back in to coat. Served over Jasmin rice with the sauce
I’ve had Better but it was good

We usually go with a sesame soy ginger flavor profile or almond vanilla cinnamon, but some great suggestions here.

We eat salmon a few times a month.
Rinse, pat dry
Coat with olive oil
Kosher salt, cracked pepper, garlic powder
Grill skin side down for 7-8 mins
Grill flesh side down for 1-2 mins
Take off the grill and put a pat of butter and squeeze of lime
Simple, easy, and fresh!

I like to cube it up for the air fryer and baste it with thai chili sauce halfway through and then at the end.
Or I will do a sriracha/honey mix and coat the same way
