We are three weeks out from the annual Santa Rosa Beach Invitational.
16 "Elite Net Handicappers" from Louisiana, with indexes ranging from a 5 to a 25 will grind through 54 holes all in a chance to win thousands of dollars in prize money, crystal trophies, a brand new Jeep Wrangler and most importantly - - the never ending honor of being crowned CHAMPION.
Last year the tournament was acknolwedged by the Walton County Commissioner and our guest starter was former NFL head coach, Jim Mora. This year's celebrity guest starter has been hired and is ready to go.
This year the field will play RD 1 - Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club, RD 2 - Windswept Dunes, and RD 3 - Regatta Bay.
All scores are played to NET and after RD 2 we seed the players for the 4-Ball Tournament which runs concurrent with RD 3.
We have a couple of great restaurants lined up, and as is custom, we cook the CHAMPIONS DINNER Sunday night to honor last year's Champion.
You gotta love Fall Golf Season.

That’s a pretty good line up of courses. Santa Rosa is the best of them though. Have fun.

No. Surfing Deer is Friday evening arrival dinner.
Saturday, Wild Olives has us set up in a private dining room that used to be their wine room.
Sunday I cook the Champions Dinner at the house.

Winning the Jeep Wrangler is a hole in one prize, that I'm assuming you buy insurance for? Is there a company that does this specifically for golf tournaments?

Yes. They factor in # of players, course, distance. If I recall, the Jeep policy only cost $350
