re: Drunk! But in your own self driving car?
Posted by Barrister on 1/16/26 at 10:05 am to LSUTANGERINE
How about the same scenario - - you are in the back seat and drunk and the car drives you home - - BUT, we add in a driver who will operate the vehicle for a reasonable amount of money.
Man - - if we could only create an app for this we could make an UBER amount of money.

Anyone done this itinerary recently? Curious as to your thoughts.

I have Garmin 40 I have used for years and love. Compared to a laser it is within 3 yds.
Gonna spitball here and say because not everytime you are pulled over are you officially “detained” under the law. Many times the officer is conducting an investigation to determine if he/she has probable cause to detain you.
Automatically immobilizing each vehicle would likely be deemed an unconstitutional detainment.
Now, as to situations when officers have determined someone is detained I’m not sure I have any answer except that maybe the priority at that time is maintaining focus on the suspect and trying to immobilize a vehicle could place officers in vulnerable spot.
Again, these are just off the cuff thoughts of a man enjoying his coffee and his thoughts first thing in the morning

The robbers.
But, passive victim blaming is fun. It sends the message that we are smarter that the victim and it could never happen to us. Basically, a self-protection lie we tell ourselves so we don’t go crazy. We are all alive by the grace of the stranger next to us who could kill us at any moment. Sleep well, he whose wise decisions protect and prevent all evil.

Years ago. 156. Only reason I remember it was it was same as my LSAT score. Kinda suspect if it was real test or not - - but I was getting Mensa shite in the mail so who knows. Felt scammy.

I know some people yank them down Dec 26…. Some after New Year…sometimes it just happens when it happens.
What’s the longest you’ve ever had your stay up for one reason or another?

Something I invented myself - - it’s a ring that goes around my neck and has a chain attached to it that goes down to where I put a huge hook on the end. I slip that ring over my head and place that hook under my balls and - - viola!! I immediately started staying down on the ball and stopped picking my head.

It’s mental. Accept you are not a single digit player. Swing slower BUT commit to swing through and don’t give a shite what happens after. When you stop caring so much - - you play better
