The bride is back. The acclaimed wedding night horror-comedy “Ready or Not” is coming back for a sequel with lead actress Samara Weaving, who is no stranger to the genre cast in Netflix’s “The Babysitter” and the 2022 “Scream” film, among many others.

personally this is the one movie where a prequel actually makes more sense

I love they way they were so casual about the maids' deaths in the first one. Horror comedy is my favorite.

Loved the first one, but not sure how you have a sequel with her in it given the ending of the first. Like the other poster said, a prequel would be awesome.

that's what I don't get, what's left to tell of the story?

yeah. she's not getting married again without some more serious vetting.
the ending seemed like the Ghost was giving her a "congrats. have a good life," toast.
sequel here doesn't make sense

does she need to explain what happened to the family?

A popular theory on r/horror:
quote:
is that HER family comes after finding out she’s inherited the estate and board game company. We see why they weren’t invited to the wedding in the first place, and Mr. LeBail (after having earned his respect in the first) comes with a deal.
Keeps the themes of shitty greedy family stuff, but with her own family.

I think they said she was an orphan, and nobody would miss her and that's one reason she was chosen.

I think that is right, so maybe her biological family would recognize her and come after her? Obviously, the latter part of the theory wouldn't be true (i.e., we see why they weren't invited), so who knows.

It'd be nice if this was on streaming somewhere.

Why not just, "Here I Come"?

Maybe she now has a taste for killing and starts doing all of this stuff herself?

If nothing bad happens to her, then she wouldn't be able to do that weird goat scream that she does all throughout the first movie.
