The entire key to this Senate race is Rachet Jasmine Crockett somehow beating soy boy Talarico in the Dem primary.

this will be the wildest thing to me.

Talrico is a disingenuous snake who choreographs everything and Crockett fakes the rachet thing but her beating him will make me laugh profusely.

Ditto... but for Hunt.

Checked his box last week.

i remain so confused as to why everybody hates Cornyn as a RINO, Paxton is toxic, and why Hunt is not the frontrunner.

Great movie. I ran into dead men tell no tales on FX yesterday and despite it being below the trilogy its still a fun movie.

I'm "fine" with most of them, but I really only view Black Pearl and Dead Men tell no Tales as rewatchable.

ducks.

Agreed. Pulled me back in with the last two episodes. Great ending to episode 4. Also is Marsden the nicest president ever in a television show?

i don't know about "nice" but I think he was exceptionally brave and noble beyond what most presidents would have done in S1E7

i haven't voted for an incumbent in a primary since Cruz in 2018 and i'm getting close to regretting that one.

see my post above. I haven't voted for Paxton, Patrick, or Abbott in a primary ever and yet here they are again.

:dunno:

i can't stand Patrick, Paxton, or Abbott. everybody in my circle votes against them in the primaries. all my democrat friends hate them all.

but they all keep winning.

watched the Cornyn slander ad against Paxton last night, voted for Paxton this morning. Slander ads drive me in a different direction

the Cornyn slander against Hunt has been out of control as well.

"he missed most votes this year!"

uhhh yeah. his wife had an emergency birth and kid was in NICU for 2 weeks in January. The rest of the time he's a very regular voter.

Been Anti Cornyn since the Tx Capitol Tea party protest booed him off the stage following his TARP vote. I've voted against him in primaries and abstained in the general hoping that the outcomes would be slim enough to send a message.

same. He's been better than the democrat in the general every time, but I vote against him every primary.

Paxton runoff is the only reason to vote for him in a primary.

Mercy was a really solid movie, never dragged. Recommended for a great big screen movie experience. Personally, I think Mercy was FAR better than Marty Supreme.

i'm not saying it was good, but it was a fun fast paced movie, reminiscent of action/thrillers from the early 2000s we don't get much of today.

didn't mind seeing it in theaters.

we have these threads weekly and some of y'all still don't know what a Millennial is

i crack up at the people that bitch about early to mid 20 YOs in the work place and call them millennials.

i will say that our workplace had some early 30 YOs for a while when i was in my late 30s and 40s and they were the worst.

I’m 43 and have no idea what an 8 track even looks like

i find that crazy.

my mom's buick had one and we were excited when she got a cassette tape in her new car in the late 80s.

i listened to a lot of Willie Nelson, Patty Cline, and Hank Williams 8 tracks growing up in that car because it's all my mom had in there.

That said, there's a group that was born from 1977 to 1985 that is considered to be Xennials (the cultural inbetween). We were born into an analog childhood but experienced a digital adulthood.

my sister is late 40s (4 year older) and technologically dependent and on tons of meds, never married, lived at home till she was in her late 20s, wildly illiberal, and single. listens to kpop and watches Anime. Glued to her phone and computer.

i moved out at 19, never went home, got married young, had kids young, and raised 2 hyperconservative kids. i can go days without technology other than texting

even though she's solidly gen x and i'm solidly millennial, we have very different world views and associations than our labels

Nothing more Millenial than you trying to identify as something you aren’t.

hey o!

mid 40s, and I want no part of the millennial generation.

Latchkey kid, remember no internet, HIV/AIDS lie, Cold War, 8 tracks, and be home when the lights come on.

70s and 80s music is way better than most of anything in the 90s.

i think it was excellent, but not worth a fecking rewatch as well. Same as In Bruges.
quote:

He is actually a piece of crap. For example, he spent his entire political career falsely claiming that the driver who collided with his first wife/child and killed them was driving drunk, when in reality the accident was technically his wife’s fault and the driver was not drunk nor did anything wrong. The man wrote to Biden and begged him to stop claiming he was drunk, as it was ruining his reputation. Biden kept on doing it. After the man died, the family wrote another letter to Biden asking him to stop saying he was drunk. Biden kept on doing it anyway

This is the untold biggest reason why I dislike him. His wife (God rest her soul) ran a stop and Biden accused him until his death of (drinking his lunch.)

I know Trump, Obama, Bush, etc. used their position to give their people jobs and money. That why I’ve never been “that irate” about Hunter and Burisma.

But his fraud with CC companies and LLCs in Delaware goes back decades.

Paxton will beat crockett by 6-8% in the general election.

That is the only scenario I see Paxton winning.

I’d rather it be Hunt.

His best directed movie is Social Network.

My favorites are 7 and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
