Game Winner 600# 6volt To 12volt Conversion

What’s all involved with converting a 6volt spin motor to a 12 volt rechargeable battery? I bought the 600# Short Stack from Game Winner and from day one I said the spinner didn’t have enough power to sling corn. Now the corn just piles on the spinner deck and doesn’t sling at all due to excess corn.
Can I just hook up a 12volt battery up or do I need to change spinner motor also?

You need to switch to a 12v motor and timer if you don’t want to fry it. Amazon has cheap replacements for both. Just make sure the motor shaft is the same diameter and that it will fit where you’re mounting it.

Probably fried right now cause I’m noticing deer eating off the deck instead of ground.
Why the hell didn’t they just install the 12volt system from the beginning?
Does academy or a local store have the 12volt timers? I’d like to change/fix this weekend if possible.

Let her rip, tater chip.
You said it might be fried. If not, it might be able to handle the 12v battery. Good chance it will work.
...it might not. You're good with replacing it anyway. Buy a replacement and bring it along. If the motor doesn't work on 12v, replace it.

Looks like academy does carry replacement motors and timers but no idea if they’ll be in stock where you’re at. You could also just buy the entire unit with a housing for about the same price then either use the parts or mount it whole.
6v has been the system for a long time so they still put them out knowing that’s what people are used to, with the old lantern batteries. 12v is superior in every way though and more of them are coming out with it.

Well I found a 12 volt battery at the Co-op and put it on, slung corn like it was supposed to so hopefully problem solved without haveing to change motor or timer.
