As the vast majority of you have looked down your nose at Trump(and his supporters) by claiming to be fiscally conservative, now the modern father of libertarianism is on the train, how's that sit with you today?
Warm and fuzzy?
Crushed and crying?
frick Ron Paul?

Quote from the other thread on the topic
quote:
The problem is they're not going to do any of this positivity unless they have some secret strategy they're hiding. I discussed this at length in the Vivek thread a couple days ago. It sounds like the same stupid strategy he had in his first admin that led to a ton of major Ls in court and no real attack on the bureaucratic state.
At the same time, the real problems of fedgov, like federal spending, will be exacerbated by Trump's policy positions. He wants to spend more on Social Security and the military, which are 2 of the 5 areas that will actually work to attack the deficit.
This is also ignoring the traditional "Republicans aren't libertarians" angle, like attacking police power, restoring our rights, etc. Trump's pretty beholden to things like the National Sheriff's Association. He was too scared last time to even reclassify weed.

Is that quote per chance attributable to yourself?

Registered indy who identifies most w libertarians here: feels great! Honestly ever since COVID most libertarians I speak to and most libertarians boards are behind the conservative agenda. Might not agree w everything the Rs do but they were on the right side of the worst freedom grab weve ever seen.

I already voted for Trump. But this is me after the RP news:

Of course. There are like 4 "Ron Paul/libertarian" threads on here now. They don't all deserve a unique response.

I've read this board for years.
You claim to be libertarian?
I think you're just a shite starter that will never make a stand on anything other than your love for Garland.

I see fake libertarian SFP was the first to respond. He can’t help himself.

You're clearly looking down your nose a libertarians, then bragging about one supporting Trump.
Get off your fricking high horse.
I can't speak for every libertarian, but I'm sure most of us want less interventionalism, less censorship, and the possibility of deregulation. The choice has been clear for most of us for a while; Have to vote Trump to avoid having a total disaster like Kamala and her neocon pals running the Executive branch.
I do like that Trump goes hard in the paint against the MSM and war pigs. That's another huge W for libertarians.

If you've read it for years you'd know that.

Evidence you have not, in fact, read it.

Ok
Because I'm more of a mix of a classic liberal, GOP and libertarian, which I think most Americans are.
Stay out of my life, stop murdering babies and taxing the frick out of me to support all of those that want it.
I mean you guys voted for Gary Johnson that said his dream was to drive across the border doing 60 with the top down while smoking a joint.
The party went hippie commune after Ron walked.

Hey, I definitely won't be an apologist for the LP. I was happy AF when the Mises Caucus took over, then of course the LP fricks that up by making Chase F'ing Oliver the nominee.

I wouldn’t say that, I wish they would let go of some of the social issues. Especially if they keep f’ing up what should be easy wins.

Sounds like a GOP/MAGA problem to me

Holding my nose and voting. The GOP today is simply DNC light. Not a huge difference between the two but enough to sway me. Plus I am a single issue voter and the DNC will never support the sanctity of life.
