Not knowing our leagues dumb rules screwed me

-Waivers close on Sunday and don’t open until Wednesday.
-I assumed after the 12 o’clock games they would open
-Had bowers on bye. Siebert out.
-Was waiting to see how my opponent did to see if I needed to pick up a te or k.
-Was told to put them in so I wasn’t deducted 10pts for each positions being empty
-Put Bowers in. Went to put Seibert in but would only allow me to put him on ir bc he was out this week.
-Probably will lose bc our rules suck and I didn’t know them.

Why on earth would your league penalize you 10 points for leaving a spot open vs filling it with a player on bye/inactive?

Very dumb. If I remember correctly a few years back someone benched their team so opponent could win. So they made a rule where every spot had to have someone every week.

Maybe I’m not understanding, a player benched his whole team so another team could win. To counter that, yall decided to give them a -10 per starting lineup. Why would they stop them from doing it again? Or did they sit their team in the last week to get an easier first round of playoffs matchup/keep a stacked team out?

They likely sat a defense with the lead so the defense couldn't go negative and lose them the game
