What are the movies that really threw you for a loop?
Here are five that I can think of off the top of my head:
Mulholland Drive
Inland Empire
12 Monkeys
Jacob's Ladder
Pi
Any other good ones?

Dusk Til Dawn. Not because of any real loops or ah-ha moments. Just when the plot changes and Tarantino goes to the vampire thing I was like WTF!!! Had to rewind it (yeah VHS baby) and watch it again like I missed a scene or something.

I guess I should go ahead and add Primer. I still haven't sorted that one out.

I haven't seen it, but isn't eraserhead supposed to be one of these?

I think you can put just about any David Lynch film on the list. IMO Inland Empire should be at the top of the list of MF'n Lynch films.

The departed was a pretty good one also Natural Born Killers, both for different reasons though.

What about Memento? There wasn't one scene in particular that throws you for a loop, but the movie was kinda unique.
Also, Identity with John Cusack.

Damn, just saw that Stewie just did a review on Memento...

Definitely. Did you see Following? Christopher Nolan used the same narrative structure devices that he subsequently used for Memento.

1408.
Jacob's Ladder wasn't as mindfricky as I thought it would be (finally saw it a few weeks ago).
Phantasm fricked me up as a kid.
