I'll start by saying I hope that there are no tanks or vehicles. The tanks ruined WaW in my opinion.

The teams that don't work together to take down tanks maybe ruin it.

I'll agree with you on that. I just think that it is more fun without them.
Maybe jeeps or hummers on MW2 might be a little more fun.
I'd also like more customization options to guns and maybe a way to customize something else to make your player unique.

Vehicles add a new dimension to FPS games. Takes a lot more tactic and adds complexity to the game when you've got to account for tanks or helicopters as well as soldiers.
BF2 had it right, some maps purely small arms combat and others with varying amounts of vehicles.

I wouldn't mind being able to create my own character. That's something that would be cool, but I don't really care about it that much.
I hope they add some of the guns like in GRAW and GRAW2--the SCAR and some of the other ones were pretty cool. I'd like to customize the guns a little more as well, but the way they did it in CoD4 worked pretty well.
I like the Humvee idea. There are a ton of fun in Battlefield: Bad Company, and so are the tanks. But, in order to have that, you need gigantic maps. And, if you add tanks, Humvees, helis and other jeeps, you basically have remade Battlefield.
I wouldn't mind Modern Warfare 2 if it were just a mod of Modern Warfare. More guns, a little more cusomization, and maybe my own character...but, other than that I'd be down with it if it doesn't veer too far away from the original.
I'm also keeping an eye on Operation Flashpoint 2, a new modern warfare FPS coming out in March, that may be pretty good. It's supposed to have very large maps and vehicles, destructible environments and huge-scale battles and a lot of realistic elements. We'll see.

Thats what I was thinking of too when responding to this. Battlefield overall is a good example of vehicles work. The ground vehicles in Halo work well too imo. In most games though, whenever an air based vehicle is added in it takes away from the ground game too much I feel.

If tanks are available can you pick up a Javelin?

It would be cool for each of your gun classes you could deck your guy out in different camo and equipment like rainbow6 vegas.

What is the location going to be of this? I don't know how it would work out, but I think it would be cool to have one being here in the US. Be able to fight through city streets and see landmarks and what not

So I guess the next Call of Duty game coming out is going to be Moder Warfare 2?
I like what all of you are saying but one more thing that I think they need to add is bigger maps with more people playing on each team. It would be awesome if they had 30 to 40 people playing on certain maps. Do they have any games right now for PS3 that have online battles with that many people?

I think PC has bigger matches online than consoles.

i don't mind tanks or vehicles, but i think they need to be tweaked.
they shouldn't have unlimited respawns. a team works together and uses its bazookas and satchel charges to take out an enemy tank and *poof* a brand new one respawns and another enemy hops into it.
it should also take longer to get into and out of tanks. of course i exploit this--anytime someone comes near me with satchel charges i hop out of the tank, kill them, and hop back in. it should take some time to climb into and out of a tank and during that time you should be vulnerable.

that would be really cool. they could even build large maps that required the use of certain vehicles to complete objectives.

That would fix the problem. I think that once you blow up a teams tank it should be done.

1. Character customizations with Feats and classes, much like an RPG.
2. New guns. More options with the guns. I noticed in CoD single player, options for guns that don't exist in the multiplayer.
3. Bigger maps, more people. More jungle terrain. More forest areas. More modern city areas like New York, etc.
4. Bots for single player maps so you can practice and have complete control.
5. Point system for different types of kills. The more difficult, the more points.
6. Point Deduction for certain acts like for campers with no sniper in hand.
7. Baseball bats and monkey wrenches to beat other players to death with.
8. Split Screen (guest accounts) for multiple consoles and x-box live like halo 3.

Bigger Maps with more elevation changes in the maps.

Like a mountainess terrain? That would be sweet.
That is one thing that bothers me about CoD, the higher terrain has the advantage in real battle, but if you get the high ground in CoD consider yourself instantly dead by grenade or red dotting.

Jets...the next Modern Warfare game would be cool and maybe when you call in an air strike, your team has to fly over to the location or something.....
