As an alum, he was the best that school had to offer. Always a class act, and liked to open up the mind and chellenge the views of many students of right wing beliefs. (something that we do not see enough of in LA)

My favorite professor ever. I took every class he had to offer.

One of my biggest life regrets also came from something that happened in his class.

At one point in class, he said if there was anyone in class who knew all of the lyrics to Paul Simon’s “You Can Call Me Al” and could sing them out loud to the class, he would give everyone in the class an A.

I knew every word to that song. And I could have done it. But I kept quiet and I didn’t. Would he have actually gone through with it and given everyone an A? I don’t know. But I regret not going for it.

I’m in my 40s and carry that with me to this day. Every time I’m scared to do something, I think about this moment and use it to gauge my fear and potential regret meter.

Doc Reich followed by Max Conrad are the two best professors ever to be at LSU.Those two men have impacts all over the world. The graduates of the landscape architecture program work everywhere in the world, and they are the best of the best because of those two men.

Loved him as well.

I can’t tell you how disappointed I was with how POLI 4020 with Dr Stoner turned out, though. Talk about false advertising

You speak the truth. Van Cox, Bruce Sharkey, and Neil Odenwald are up there too.
