I bought a Subaru. It’s a WRX and it’s a fun car, but it’s still a Subaru.

Buy a beater car and have the device installed in that car. Drive your normal car as usual. Don’t get caught.

All I have is that my Grandmother had it and now my Father has it. He gets the injections in his eyes and at 81 is doing much better than my Grandmother did 20 years ago. She had the magnifying device so she could keep reading and resigned herself to just listening to TV because the magnifier only worked close up. I guess my turn is coming but I’ve been taking AREDS for 10 years and I never walk outside without sunglasses so maybe I’ll dodge it. It was quire debilitating to my Grandmother initially but she adapted and lived for 15 years with it.

re: Zyns in every unrinal I visit

My Catholic elementary school boys bathroom had a sign above the urinals that said “NO BUTTS IN URINALS” We all thought that was hilarious because we thought it meant to not take a shite in the urinal. We had no idea that men would smoke cigarettes in the bathroom at after-school events.

30 year marriage…. she’s not interested in getting “dicked down” any more. Ask me how I know.

My wife’s great aunt died when her great uncle was 85. Women were giving him their phone numbers in the church hall after the funeral. This was in Bogalusa and he was remarried within a year. In his defense, I don’t think he ever cooked a meal in his life, his wife took care of everything and he was almost helpless when she died. He died a few years later and the new wife inherited everything. We never see her at any family events anymore.

Lancaster Country Day is my Alma Mater. I grew up in neighboring Hershey and I can tell you that there are zero Amish kids attending that school. LCD is the closest thing to Newman in New Orleans that Central Pennsylvania has besides boarding schools. Despite being a shitty student, I got into a good private college because of the school. I ended up graduating from LSU because I was a shitty college student too.

I can vouch for Meplat Group for one stop shopping for a suppressor. They have some in stock but will also do the NFA paperwork if you buy online.

Most pool maintenance companies acid wash pools.
ETA: kingfish and Ponchartrain Pools have done several for me in the New Orleans and North Shore area.

re: Pond Fountain Recommendations
Posted by Ron Popeil on 3/9/26 at 12:42 pm to Tiger328
I have been using Kasco floating fountains in some commercial ponds. Whatever brand you go with, be sure that it gas a turtle excluder on the top to keep turtle from getting ground up causing the pump to jam and burn out the motor. Also, Kasco fountains are more than what I would call reasonably priced for a residential application.
re: Gladiator X-Comp MT's
Posted by Ron Popeil on 3/8/26 at 12:29 am to Craw Dawg
I had 35x12.50R18 Gladiator X comps on a Jeep Gladiator. I put about 25,000 miles on them before I got rid of the Jeep and they looked almost like the day I bought them when I sold it. They were a lot quieter than the mud tires I have on my Silverado now but not as quiet as the Falken all terrain tires that came on the Jeep (those tires sucked). I used the Jeep like a tractor at my farm and I never got stuck with those tires (I had a Rubicon with front and rear lockers). I will buy them again when the other Chinese mud tires I have on my current truck wear out.

In my option, this is probably to mitigate people pushing themselves to much and getting injured or having heat stroke which really causes an issue for the event
Then stay on your couch pussy. Don't sign up for a marathon if you can’t at least walk across the finish line before the sun goes down.
re: Someone crashed into Dorignac’s Food Center entrance this evening
Posted by Ron Popeil on 3/4/26 at 6:59 am to Demps
I bought my first new truck in 1996 and drove straight to Dorignacs to buy groceries. When I was walking out of the store, I watched an 80 something year old man back into the side of my truck that had all of 15 miles on it.

Never wearing sunscreen and working outdoors has led to skin cancer.
