Hopefully CTJ will add a post player in the spring. Ludwig appears to be a sleeper and Dotson has a chance to start right away.

Darenbecker is better than Ludwig.

Ludwig should not have gotten an offer. He is not the kind of guy LSU needs to get if they want to compete for NCAA championships.

Ludwig = a really bad Kyle Singlar.

Dotson is possibly going to start for LSU next year. Great pickup from out west.

There are a couple big guys, but I doubt we get either of them.

Langston Galloway is the big 2010 recruit we have got to land. He's from Christian Life Academy in Baton Rouge. One of the top Shooting Guards in the country.

Really need to get a couple big men or we will struggle in the future.

Trent Johnson should help expand our recruiting base outside of the South and Texas...we just need to get to the point where we can have 9-10 guys who can play and actually fill our schollys!
By the way...I have nott seen that white point guard play yet...Green...where is he?

We must sign at least 1 big man who can play center. Hopefully 2 (probably asking too much though to get both Nat and Renardo). If Garrett Green can't go again next year we are in deep dodo as we don't have a single "big" man on the team. You'd see us go t a very small lineup. Dennis Harris is 6'10 but even more frail than CJ.

I expect the lineup next year to roughly be...

C
1. Whoever we sign between Renardo and Nat.
2. Green

PF
1. Mitchell
2. Warren
3. Harris

SF
1. Graham
2. Farrer
3. Ludwig

SG
1. Dotson
2. Someone else Trent signs

PG
1. Spencer
2. Bass

I could see Spencer playing a 1 and 2 role though.

Unless we can get a top big man to come in next year is looking bleak unless Warren and Graham can improve from till then. We will be weak at the 3 and 5.

Dotson needs to work on his perimeter game. He's a great defender, good mid-range jumper, but needs to work on the three ball. I wouldn't be totally shocked to see us play Bass and Spencer in the same back court next season. I like Dotson, and I think he'll be great, but it'll take a little time.

Also, I like the Ludwig signing. He'll never be an all american, but you need guys like him mixed in with the higher profile players. It helps build a great program as opposed to great teams scattered amongst mediocrity.

I know that LSU is all over Galloway and Derenbecker for 2010 but they have some SEC type ball players in Baton Rouge that are under the radar that we should consider...
I just hope they don't get away.

Ronald McGhee from Istrouma. A 2010 6'5" SG that can fill it up from anywhere on the court. He will probably grow to 6'7" by the time he graduates. Confirmed that he was offered by Duke Coach Nate James Last week. He has no stars on Rivals. He is underrated IMO. Averages about 20 per game. Not sure if he was ever on LSU's radar.

Brian Williams from Glen Oaks is another 2010 baller from the area. 6'5" G/F, a very versatile player. He is a very young Junior that should grow another inch or two before he graduates. Has a double - double every game. Averages about 20+ points and 10 rebounds. EBR Parish Tournament MVP. Has an offer from LSU. Very underrated IMO.

I'd like to get these two along with Galloway in 2010.

Last, there is a 2011 big, 6'7" 200 lb. Tre Drye at Glen Oaks. He's 15 years old and should grow to about 6'9" or 6'10" by the time he graduates. He puts up about 12-15 per game with 10-12 rebounds.
He is a player. Could fill the void that we need at big.
I hope CTJ is on top of all this.

I saw all three play at the EBR Parish Tournament...
