List of 1990's Westerns : LINK

2000's : LINK

its hard to rank em but if i had to it would go a lil something like

10. The Three Burials of Melquidas Estrada

9. Wild Bill

8. Open Range

7. Dances With Wolves

6. The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

5. Appaloosa

4. Legends of the Fall

3. Wyatt Earp

2. 3:10 To Yuma

1. Tombstone

there were certain ones i havent seen so i cant rank them: Seraphim Falls, Broken Trail, the Alamo, the Missing, All the Pretty Horses, Ride With the Devil, The Jack Bull, The Last Outlaw, Geronimo: An American Legend,

and some that i didnt consider a Western: No Country for Old Men, Last Samuri??,(was debating whether to include Legends of the Fall)

Also i didnt include any comedies like City Slickers, and Maverick.

So what do yall think? How would you rate em?

Unforgiven is number 1 for me. Not sure why you don't have it in the top 10

Dude, if you haven't seen Unforgiven, and you like Westerns, you might want to stop whatever you're doing and rent it now.

Out of the 10 you have supplied Dances with Wolves should be 1 IMO...

I guess, but go rent it. Four academy awards, Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Editing, and 5 other nominations including best original screenplay.

Also, if you haven't seen any Clint Eastwood westerns you haven't seen(some of the) the greatest westerns of all time including The Good, The Bad and the Ugly trilogy, The Outlaw Josie Wales, High Plains Drifter, Hang em High, etc. etc.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Why bother trying to make this list if you haven't seen it?

For future reference, be sure to check out this movie called Star Wars if you want to make a "top sci-fi films of the 70's" list.

i was just making a list of MY favorites. i mentioned that there were quite a few i havent seen so obviously my list would be flawed.

to be honest, i hadnt heard much about the unforgiven. turns out im missing out on one of the greatest westerns ever.

It is no where close to

"You just shot an unarmed man!
Well, he should have armed himself if ..."

Edited the rest of the quote to keep it from being a spoiler
