3 more quarters and he would have had an offseason to get healthy. Instead he’s missing an entire season

4 days ago, the pelicans traded Indiana’s pick next year back to them for Indiana’s pick this year.

This injury seems to happen more and more frequently.

there are people who have felt he's been injured when series started, and this was the inevitable, playing during injury, to try and win it all.

Its game 7 of the finlas. You have to play even if you think it might pop. If not there is no reason to pay you millions.

Simmons alluded to this potentially happening. I hate it for Haliburton.

I know its game 7 and you have to try to go if you are the team leader like he is. but we all knew this was going to more than likely happen when they announced his had a calf injury.

100% Achilles injury. Damn. I wonder if teams will start holding out guys with those calf injuries no matter what, now.

How can there be such a difference?

Basketball far far harder on Achilles

Also positional based though. It’s a death sentence for RBs, while basketball players seem to comeback ok

Football has guys like QBs who have torn Achilles which like skews the data some as well

I don't believe that for one second.

Who has come back that soon in football from an achilles rupture?

Rogers was working out with team fully in spring 6 months later. Was practicing 3 months after

Cousins was back in under 10 months too I beleive

NBA examples

KD was 18 months

Klay was 14 months

Kobe came back in 9 but was a complete shell
