Very hard. The new stadium being built...number one team...people getting the buzz.

I would compare it on a small scale to the '08 Sugar Bowl.

For Villanova, they're going to be tough. Kinda stupid, too, because Villanova sucks, the weather will be shitty, and there are many, many, many home games left. But the "I was there" folks - many of whom won't be at another game and will not use their tix during midweek games - will be out at the Box in droves.

I'd be interested to know what these will be going for in the scalper market. I bet some 3 game packages for 2 go for as much as 500 bucks.

Yea that's what I have been thinking. I missed maybe 5 home games all year last year and I was able to sit anywhere in the stadium I wanted. Now it's its a whole new ballgame.

For regular season college baseball?? No way.

I'd be willing to bet you'll be able to find tickets for face outside the stadium for any regular season game this year. The lone exception could be opening weekend if the weather is nice. If it's cold, tickets will be available.

If it's 10 degrees, there will be plenty of husbands whose wives didn't want to go and plenty of fathers whose kids didn't want to go. Other than post-season play, when was the last time February baseball at the Box was a hard sell-out? It wasn't even in the late 90s early 2000s when LSU baseball was at its peak, so why would it be now?

I understand your point about the weather, but I don't think you appreciate the magnitude of opening a new facility for a major sport. Pisces is right that there will be interest there for LSU supporters who aren't even big enough fans to attend when the baseball team is hosting a super regional. February 20th is bigger than a game, no matter how cold it is.

February 21st may be a different story though

No, I understand it. There will be more tickets sold to the first game at the new Box than any game in LSU Baseball history. However, I still think there will be tickets available outside the stadium if the weather sucks. I guess we'll see who's right on 2/20.

Apparently you weren't patient enough. I got tickets for all three games in the grand stand for $10 bucks each against Irvine.

That being said, I don't think finding tickets for Opening Weekend will be very hard at all. At the least, people will be able to find tickets for Sunday's game pretty easily, seeing as the weekend will be about over, and people (like myself) will be having to leave town early to rest up for the work week.
