a prequel could be pretty solid, using the kid that plays young Jesse on Gemstones as young Kenny, McBride as his old man, Goggins as a coach/scout...

They arent bringing back Eastbound and Down, they are bringing back the name HBO Max to their streaming service after swapping to just Max. False alarm folks, you can go home.

Didn't they announce that change already? Like in May? I think it was effective this month, but using characters from a popular old series is an odd way to do it unless you're rebooting it in some fashion. Publicity stunt aside, I can see them doing it to generate more users.

Can’t wait to see what new series Danny comes up with next after Gemstones. He doesn’t miss. Should be given the keys to HBO at this point

Yep.
It's one thing to get a little bit bigger as we get older. No one stays in their "prime" forever. But it's quite another to just flat not give a shite. That's apparently what she did. Her and her husband (former Olympic javelin thrower). She's probably gained 125 lbs since her prime EB&D days.
