Finished watching this yesterday and I’d recommend people to watch it even though it’s animated. There’s some really good stuff here and it fills in the backstory of where the DCU is headed.

Weasel is back and gets his own backstory besides “he killed 27 children” in TSS. Love this character. Dr Phosphorous, the skeleton, would look incredible in live action. He has a tragic backstory. Frankenstein played by David Harbour was awesome but damn he is a killer. A little hard to be endearing when he’s heartless. Bride will likely be a big piece of the puzzle going forward. Circe the Amazonian should be a recurring villain and may end up in the Wonder Woman movie

Most importantly, Clayface makes an appearance which is cool for his movie that’s being developed

you didn’t even mention GI Robot who is by far the best part.

I enjoyed it but it felt very much like Suicide Squad with monsters. not exactly ground breaking

GI Robot wasn’t super interesting to me. It’s moreso revenge porn

What’s interesting to me is the setup for the continuing stories in the DCU

I believe Gunn has stated you'll see most of these characters in live action as well

Yeah true, the Sgt Rock movie where GI would appear was put on hold after its director left until at least next year

The music makes me happy.

The origin of the week format was a welcomed change from the usual Suicide Squad "infiltrate the country of Genericstan and take out General Placeholder" plot.

G.I. Robot's revelation at his savior's rally was the highpoint.

The episode with the Coin Operated Boy playing during his montage was so much fun.
