Why Don’t the Best Players in the Portal Want to go to Alabama?

Because the better high school players are already there?

Don't worry, I'm sure you won't need *50* total players to pass our 35.

Even when LSU fans are winning, they're still losing...

Where you been baw?

Here, sometimes, but having a life probably means I miss a bit.

I think the answer is Bama. They have at least 6 posters that melt daily on here.

We do?
Oh, they’re also masters of dickriding anyone capable of doing what they’re not.

They’ve become so adept at it they were asked to consult on Brokeback Mountain.
3 points more than LSU has scored in the playoffs in the past 6 years.

Embarrassing.

Devin Harper wants to play for a winner

Then why did he sign with LSU?

Why is the National Championship game not tomorrow?

Because the playoffs now have a gazillion teams in it and as it keeps growing this game will keep being pushed forward.

Folks that demanded the change won't be happy until we're watching the title game in March. We can tune into the Final Four and kickoff for the CFP title game on the same day!

Woo.

It’s worth mentioning that in 2007 when McFadden has 1830 yards for Arkansas, He was splitting carries with two other future NFL backs. Felix Jones had 1162 yards that year and Peyton Hillis had 347.

That 2007 backfield is the best I’ve ever seen. 522 carries for 3339 yards, 6.4 ypc, 86 receptions for 877 yds, 10.2 ypr, 970 kick return yds on 36 attempts, 26.9 yards per return.

That the 2007 Arkansas team only finished 8-5 seems like such a waste for that backfield.

I'm still amazed we managed to beat you guys that year in Saban's inaugural season. That win was, in all honesty, the beginning of Saban's run.

True..if programs like Stanford, Northwestern, or Southern Cal start funding sports majorily...we are all screwed

Hell, imagine if MIT decides they don't care about enrollment requirements and decides to field a team.

Or Harvard or Yale decide to go Div 1. Harvard has 127 alumni billionaires... no one in the SEC has even 20. If half of those Harvard alumni decide to push for it, they'd easily dominate the sport.

But yes, Stanford is the current FBS program with the highest number of ultrawealthy alumni. They could easily decide to just say "frick it" and if money is the only object easily kick everyone's arse. They have 93 billionaires as part of their alumni.

But this is what everyone wanted... "parity".

Anyone who thought NIL was going to make football "better" was really just wanting to see the system burn because they weren't winning in the current one. Now they can blame being outspent instead of being outplayed or outrecruited.

And not a single attractive girl on either team except maybe the new French girl for SC.

So... you're saying you watch women's basketball with your pants down?

That's a weird choice to goon to.

That’s your opinion and you stated it as fact.

It is fact, though, that he was:
A. Healthy
B. Absolutely horrid against SEC competition (two of those three games against Mississippi State)

In fact, Leavitt was the only QB to gain less than 100 yards and to complete only half his passes against Miss State in 2024, who's pass defense was 15th out of 16 among SEC teams, and the only QB to complete less than 50% of passes and less than 100 yards against State in 2025 (which was 10th among SEC teams).

Now, I'm not saying Leavitt will suck. It's possible that with Kiffin as his coach, and better WRs around him, he'll do way better; that said, will LSU upgrade their OL? LSU's only commit on the line above 3* is an incoming freshman; all of the transfers are 3* players. Will they give Leavitt the protection he needs to take advantage of what will almost assuredly be a better WR corps than he had at ASU, or will he spend most of the time running from pressure or sitting on the ground?

LSU fans have a reason to be excited, I agree - new, big name coach; big QB transfer; tons of incoming names.

Just don't expect us to look at his numbers and start trembling at the idea of facing him either.

That’s the guy with the broken foot who played Mississippi state twice and never broke 85 yards passing right?

When healthy.

Tired of hearing NIL killed the college game.

Well, it is killing the game.

Well deserved, the man pretty much carried the team offensively to the NC.

He's the reason we beat South Carolina that year. They had our number through the air, so we just ran wildcat with Ingram all day.

24 carries, 246 yards, the only offensive TD scored all game (all the other points were off FGs and a 77 yard pick 6 by Mark Barron).
I grew up in the days before SEC expansion, so I still have the mindset that everyone plays everyone even though that hasn't been true for a while.

We don't play:

LSU
Georgia
Mississippi State
Missouri
Texas A&M

You should do that.

You made the mistake of providing a concise, intelligent response.

That'll go over poorly here.

Now he’ll just be remembered for losing to Indiana by 35.

Nice.

What will preseason Heisman shoe-in Garrett Nussmeier be remembered for?

Tidefans says they miss you

All I can tell about the hate for Tidefans around here is that a bunch of LSU fans figured they could make accounts, spam profanity there, and just be tolerated.

Once they got banned they came back here and cried about it.

We did great in the playoffs! LSU and Miami only two teams to be undefeated in the history of the CFP.

Insufficient sample sizes. Neither team is eligible for consideration.

Bama’s last legit natty was 2015.

Whatever make-believe story you have to tell yourself at night to get to sleep.

Still sad to see so many LSU fans embrace cancel culture so vehemently.
Indiana.

Miami is one of those "will never cheer for" teams for me. I don't care if they're playing Notre Dame, Auburn, Texas, whoever - if Miami's on the field, I'd prefer the other team win.

Honestly, they're just a hair over Notre Dame; anyone else playing Notre Dame, I want the Domers to lose.
