Wife and I plan to test our luck for specks next week. Any recent reports? Thanks in advance.

If I were you I would hit the beach with these north winds

Watch the weather. Two days of winds out the north would be worth your time to at least check the beaches. If three days of north, just go

Have smashed on rocks and struck out mightily, it ain’t what is was ten years ago but at times it fyre.
Better get to spicers or fish camp early if you want live bait or cast net mullet. Eating shrimp have been scarce and fishing shrimp even more so.
Concentrate on points in the channel north incoming tide and south outgoing. If all else fails troll the rocks and spot lock when you get bit.

Buddy been launching in prien and fishing edges of cuts at channel from there to hackberry with cast netted mullet and doing pretty well. But got to be ready to move a lot.
