Yep. I do absolutely love my B80 and A390. Feels almost the same. Just a little more refined. No reason to ever shotgun shop again if you own any of those 3 guns.

Be a connoisseur- buy a real Browning A5 and upgrade the barrel. Let everybody know you're the man in the blind.
I tried here in CenTex Thursday and Friday. Crappie aren't up on banks yet, and no whites in creek. I figure next week it will set off.
You guys using a cork? Any tips?
I have always just used a crappie jig and basically "dipped" it near branches, trees etc. I'll occasionally use a slip cork for my kids with a minnow on it at 1-2' depth.
It looks like I see guys using a small weighted cork, and popping it back to them I guess. I may give it a try.

Hey, a day in big lake is better than work, unless the boat breaks down and you have to get towed in.
We may be down there next week. I got out a few times here in central TX but fishing is tough, whites aren't really up in the creeks yet, and crappie are also in transition.
Next week I think conditions are there for a beat down in the creeks. I love catching crappie in the shallow water.

Did most of my install yesterday.
I wrestled with how to make stencil like a moron for about an hour.
Then realized it is easier to lay out giant pieces of paper, and fold them along the edges and tape to themselves to get straight lines and sides instead of trying to use a straight edge and cut the paper.
Have one compartment lid I cut maybe 1/2" short. But other than that it looks really good.
My hull is all welded aluminum so I just scrubbed each spot with acetone really well before installing. Seems to have stuck really well. Have a few more pieces and the floor around console to do and I'll be done.
Total install time for an 18' aluminum side console will probably be 6-8ish hours. I would imagine somebody who has done it before would shave some off that.

I am not an expert.
But they all have different rules from what I've experienced. Some mandatory eye wear and hearing pro, some have loading and unloading rules, caliber rules, target check rules etc.
And I've been to 2 that are like T Noncs multi use gun range, chicken fighting ring, and bait shack where people are drinking beers and blowing stuff up with no rules.
That being said- just call ahead and ask and I'm sure they will help you out.

How hot was it when you did it?
I was thinking if I do it in the next week or so when its 70* it would mitigate that vs doing it when its 97* and sunny in a few months.

This isn't a one size fits all app.
Best bet would be finding somebody that you can pay, rent, or borrow a brush hog to knock it down.
And then get a nicer riding mower to keep it down.
Alternative- sacrificial lamb- plenty of 42-60" tractor style riding mowers on FB market(because everybody has to have a ZTR to mow there 1/8 acre lot in a subdivision now.
Drop 600$ on a tractor style mower. Sharpen the blades. And use that for a few months until you get it all knocked down and under control. If it breaks you're not out much more than renting a brush hog.

Have one on my MB direct drive thats who knows how old at this point and still great.
On my fishing rig I bought a 200$ ish cover off Amazon 2 years ago. And it has been great.

Buddy of mine just had his 23' Gaudet fully done with custom fit, custkm pattern, laser engraved Seadek at Uncle J. It looks unbelievably good.
I just ordered a bunch of the Amazon stuff to do my 18' boat myself. I've been putting it off for a while. But I'm tired of bare aluminum, slipped and busted my butt on the deck in the cold a few times during duck season, and I don't like having to wear flip flops because my feet are burning in summer.
If I can ever figure out how to post pics I will once I am done.

Saw one at the dock recently. Really impressive built boat. But never ridden in one.
But if I was any where near that budget on an aluminum rig I'd just get a custom one.

Nothing wrong with 22mag.
I prefer 17hmr. Shoots flatter, little bit more accurate- but if you're only shooting inside 100 yards its close depending on the gun.
Had a Rem 597 17HMR for years, was amazing, sold it during divorce. Always regretted it.
I have a Savage 93r17 with the upgraded stock and heavy barrel. Absolute tack driver. Headshots on squirrels is so satisfying.
I have killed everything from squirrels, coons, nutria, beavers, coyotes, and pigs with 17HMR.
It is my go to. If I'm specifically after anything bigger I use my 204 Ruger. Which is amazing. But way too much for squirrels/rabbits.

But it sounds awesome. And respect to you for being such an awesome Baw you get to go around the world doing cool stuff like that.

I'm ready to go! Boat having a weird electrical gremlin, so I'm sidelined until I figure it out.
Catching slabs off the trees in shallow water is my favorite kind of fishing.

I painted my last rig myself. It held up well for about 10 years of heavy use until I sold it.
I pressure washed it really good, then used an eraser wheel (i think, been a while) and went over any of the salt residue, marks, etc on the boat.
Wiped down entire hull with acetone.
Then did entire boat with self etching primer.
Bought a harbor freight spray gun, and used Duralux dead grass green. 2 coats.
After a while I got stencils, and sprayed a kryptek pattern on it with spray can duralux. Besides spots where I did stuff like scrape on concrete bridge pillars crappie fishing, that paint held up great for a decade until I sold it.
There are a lot of guys in South LA that do it. But good work going to cost you well north of a grand for sure. And more if you want camo or anything.

I can not get over the pricing on these now. But unfortunately- yes thats a pretty solid deal.
In 2010- i bought a 2008 DCLB 4x4 SR5 with like 30k on it for 20k out the door. Traded in with 120k in 2012 or 13 for almost 18k.

I also have astigmatism, I threw a 1X reflex from Dagger defense on my 300BO build. Have had no issues.
Son also has astigmatism, just shot his first deer at about 60 yards with it a few weeks ago.
