There is another option besides going to BR? Our camp is on the river NW of lake charles. A closer easier option would be great.

Depends how I'm feeling. I like to train heavy, i compete in strongman off and on.
If I'm in a good extended strength training phase- and think I can hit a big single- I'll do it.
If I'm in a perpetual banged up training phase- like I am alot as I get older- I won't.
Did break a TX state record last spring. So that was fun. Stronger now, but no motivation to reset it unless I hear somebody else is breaking it I guess.

Probably pulled more reds on Gulp on a jighead in my boat the last ten years than any other combo.
Popping cork works also obviously.
Weirdly enough- have never caught a single fish on cracked crab.

Not completely related to this- but how is it even possible in that LA doesn't have satellite offices where you can do this, or register a new boat, etc?
I live in TX now, but here every county has an office you can go to for all of that stuff.

Obviously a fraud.
Even more impressive she managed to hide from the Nazi's so long, and write a diary about the experience.

Literally every college every year has this issue. They don't pound the zone. You pick apart the very edges as much as you can trying to get batters to chase bad stuff, and make weak contact.
Every kid on staff could "pound the zone" and SEC hitters would pound it right off the score boards.
If you throw above 85 in any level of HS and have at least one offspeed pitch you can absolutely throttle everybody you face in HS aiming down the middle and letting it rip.
These are 18-19 year olds coming in, and in most cases getting taught how to actually pitch vs throw for the first time. It takes a while to develope. But every year we get better towards end of the season- thats the proof that the LSU staff is doing their job.
Mainly spots. In college and the pros, if you put a fastball down the pipe it is going 350' plus the other direction.
These kids have to work the edges of the zone, which leaves small margin for misses.
Its just tough. Thats what separates elite guys, from guys with good stuff.

If I was making one- I would buy a cheap electric winch from harbor freight, and put a pulley on ceiling, build a cradle, and do that.
We did similar at our camp to pull a Jon boat and kayak up out of the water.

Does Hellmers have any eligibility left? Great kid, felt like he was just starting to developed his stuff before we stopped seeing him in the rotation.

I cook fish in that quantity semi regular in my same Dutch oven I use for jambalaya and gumbo.
Burner on low, about 1-1.5, gallons of oil, try and keep around 350.

Man, I just can't ever get over it.
I shoot my A390(almost the same exact thing just synthetic stock) mainly. But man, that B80, it's just perfect. The stock, the way it swings, the action. I've never shot anything better.

I know this time of year is always tough. Kids and me are off for spring break next week. How has big lake been? Worth bringing the Cajun special down and fishing?
May even try to slam sacalait in the calcasieu- but haven't honestly tried that in years and no idea where to go.

Yep. I do absolutely love my B80 and A390. Feels almost the same. Just a little more refined. No reason to ever shotgun shop again if you own any of those 3 guns.

Be a connoisseur- buy a real Browning A5 and upgrade the barrel. Let everybody know you're the man in the blind.
I tried here in CenTex Thursday and Friday. Crappie aren't up on banks yet, and no whites in creek. I figure next week it will set off.
You guys using a cork? Any tips?
I have always just used a crappie jig and basically "dipped" it near branches, trees etc. I'll occasionally use a slip cork for my kids with a minnow on it at 1-2' depth.
It looks like I see guys using a small weighted cork, and popping it back to them I guess. I may give it a try.

Hey, a day in big lake is better than work, unless the boat breaks down and you have to get towed in.
We may be down there next week. I got out a few times here in central TX but fishing is tough, whites aren't really up in the creeks yet, and crappie are also in transition.
Next week I think conditions are there for a beat down in the creeks. I love catching crappie in the shallow water.
