Very cool. One of Sam or Cantlay got the benefit of Keegan not picking himself. Yet again, I feel bad for Keegan.

I think it was the right move. The difference between him, Burns, Cantlay, and Morikawa just wasnt big enough to justify putting himself in over one of them. The pressure on him would have been through the roof with him on the team as a captain.

Why, I think he made the noble choice. He was selected to be the captain and put the best team together. Does he deserve to be one of the guys playing, probably, but would he play as well while also being the captain, doubtful.

Yes, it was a noble choice. One he shouldn't have had to be making because he shouldn't be the captain.

This is why I feel bad for him. It's two Ryder Cups in a row now he should have played in and he has played in neither of them. Being a captain is a cool honor but I'm sorry but when you're in your prime/late prime, you're trying to get on the team, not be the captain. That's something reserved for guys who aren't competing to be on the team.
