Blow-molded cases: Bane or Beneficial?

I always kept them around for anything but power tools (which are stupid large) but over the long weekend, I emptied the contents of 27 blow-molded cases and freed up a bunch of room in my tool boxes. The amount and variety of toolbox organization today makes it easy to still have them very well organized and gives the benefit of seeing everything vs trying to remember what box such and such is in when you don't use it every day and even if you label them you have to go through ones stacked in the deeper drawers are cabs. The only negative I can see is it makes it harder to grab multiple sizes to take to the work so you don't have to go back and forth. I fixed that issue with sockets years ago with one of these:
Do you keep or toss the ubiquitous blow-molded cases?

Keep all mine, I know everything by sight and keeping them in cases made it easier to load up for a given project. The only exception are my DeWalt tools, mostly came with nylon tool bags, but I have most of it in tall ToughSystem tote stack that can be wheeled around. Gave away or repurposed those bags though, great for carrying nails and screws. Some specialty tools that didn't have cases I put into Harbor Freight Pelican-knockoffs and labeled them.
When I did trim carpentry with a friend's crew, he kept his nicer tools in cases but everything else that didn't have a dedicated spot in the trailer went into a big wooden box. Really beat up the tools. His dad didn't even do that much, everything went into a large jobsite tool box we refered to as the "dumpster".

I got a bunch of 1 gallon buckets with lids (super cheap) and label them. Takes up way less space and easy to get to

I just can't do that, I am far too OCD about my tools. For example, this is one of my screwdriver drawers:

looking at that gives me hives
impressive though

Damn, what'd you rob a Wera store? That's the most expensive screw driver collection I've ever seen, I love it
And I trash all blow mold cases except for my socket set. I do have 1 socket set that's in a nylon bag and I freaking hate having to dig through it to find what I need.
