New signs are up at Grand Bayou marking the no-go zone. Fines are confiscatory and per fisherman not boat.
I haven’t heard of anyone getting tickets yet but eventually it’s going to happen.
Don’t be that guy.
Walked a guy down there yesterday and they slammed them, back today and he was indeed trespassing.

You talking about the signs that say not to be within like 100' of the weir?

Or something else?

I saw a guy post a video on FB a few days ago of a Red limit- in the video he was dang near anchored on the weir! ?? I said oh boy FB game wardens coming out!

Besides one good trip when it was blown out a few years ago. I've always had horrible luck down there. To the point I'm scared to fish it. Always- either boat issues, storms pop up, broken gear, etc. Cursed for me.

Yes, signs were there previously and fines were expensive. I haven’t been that far east in forever but hammered them from 21-24 at the blowout and gates. Area beyond signs is part of Sabine nwr and closed during hunting season.

Yep. That's what I thought. I always remembered the signs. And always saw people- including guides way up close on them.

I try not to break laws. I have bad enough luck on my own. I've always been positive the second I dropped a half inch short trout into the box a helicopter would show up and they'd seize my boat!

I’ve fished there once in the winter. Pulled up and there were two guide boats side by side. They would catch their limit and another would come in. It was the only spot that was catching

Les Miles, his wife, and daughter Smacker were in one of the guide boats. Watched Les catch a giant black drum

I have absolutely torchered them at grand lamber peconi and no name.
Always say I’m going to buy a clicker to keep up with the #’s but I never do.
50-60 is a pretty good estimate when it’s every cast and you get 90 min alone.
I have also been on the outside looking in when it’s another service slamming them
