The NCAA Winter Transfer Portal window for 2024 opened on December 9, 2024, and closed on December 28, 2024.

The NCAA approved a single, primary transfer portal window for 2026, eliminating the spring window. The NCAA Transfer Portal window for 2025 opened on January 2, 2026, and closes on January 16, 2026. (There is a supplemental window for CFP national championship game participants from January 20 through January 24.)
Players can sign with new schools after the main transfer portal window closes on January 16, if their name was already in the portal before the deadline. The window is for entering the portal, not for committing, and players can take their time to choose a school, though they'll miss spring practice if they don't enroll in time.
As you can see from the two lists, many of the Ole Miss signees last winter and spring signed after the window closed.
Looks like LSU has reasons to stay positive.

Wouldn't shock me if we've already racked and stacked the portal players for each position just figuring out who wants what ($$$) and if they're worth it.

Second, he was at Ole Miss. He took them from 4-8 before he got there to 10-3 (Sugar Bowl) in two years.
2019 . 4-8 Luke
2020 . 5-5 Kiffin
2021 10-3 Kiffin
2022 . 8-5 Kiffin
2023 11-2 Kiffin
2024 10-3 Kiffin
2025 13-1 Kiffin
He was in the Top 12 in 3 of 6 years.
Third, LSU is not currently in the same position as Ole Miss was when Kiffin arrived there. LSU has talented players on offense and defense returning next year. LSU has more resources committed to obtaining even more talent this spring.

Having only watched a handful of Ole Miss games, I think at least half of those guys are significant contributors for Ole Miss this season, so that's a damn good hit rate on portal guys. No reason Kiffin can't replicate that at LSU in this portal window

You know a lot of those names listed in the OP as transfers now…. But did you know them when they signed with ole miss? 97% certain yall had no clue who those names were, but now that they’ve signed with Kiffin, been coached by Kiffin, and have had success under Kiffin, you know exactly who they are…. Right?
Why can’t the same be expected out of the two signees that recently committed? And also the ones in the future
