Would be such a benefit to backup Shough.
Some development with him under Moore would be intriguing but more importantly his leadership / experience paired with Cam and DD.
No I get this isn’t an urgent matter but think it’s important and could only benefit.
I miss me some Jamies !

Mariota would be a better fit

no. no it wouldn't.
1) he's under contract
2) that $4 million is about half of what it'll cost to retain Cam hopefully

Rattler is the guy. The team has to spend cap space in so many places that they don't have the luxury of signing vet QBs unnecessarily.

Sorry, I agree they need a veteran presence, but JW is too expensive and a luxury for a team that is cap strapped. There are surely cheaper alternatives for a player who has some experience but not that high of a salary.
The Saints aren’t one player away from the SB anyway. Many of yall have been saying Rattled is a good backup. He’s now on his third season with more than 10 starts, right? Why spend $ on another backup if you already have an experienced backup?

No. We already have our backup. No reason to do this at all

I ask the same on him as any other vet qb. Who have they successfully mentored and what is their established rep in this regard.
