I haven’t but am curious as to feedback. As info, the oyster harvest this year was horrible. Not sure what that means for the festival, if anything.

….
Jason Herrmann, the marine biologist leading an annual state presentation, said that preliminary survey dives showed a decline in mature oysters. He said the state’s dives also had found a stark drop in spat (larval oysters) and juvenile oysters, suggesting that the outlook for the following seasons is bleak.

Ask on the Food Board, or search for the older threads on it. One of the regular posters there is with Navy Cove Oysters, and they participate in the festival. Some of the other posters have attended.

It was reportedly a shite show the first year, with huge lines. Things reportedly improved significantly in the next fests.

Lmao. Sounds like the farmed oyster crowd has taken over. Sad. At least a Gulf Shores still has some real people character and prices left.

The Navy Cove oysters I had are probably the best I’ve ever tasted.

They’re farmed right there in an inlet of Mobile Bay.
