Jo is your typical white liberal woman - ignorant as well as unintelligent. The fact of the matter is, there have been MASSIVE renovations and additions made to the White House over the years. Truman had the whole thing gutted in 1950 because the house was literally falling apart. He spent almost his entire second term at Blair House.

Somebody needs to tell Jo that the West Wing and the Oval Office needs to be torn down, because they were added at the sole discretion of Teddy Roosevelt and FDR.
