How much clearance between the ground and your trailer jack?

I have a 12' utility trailer that I have to keep in my garage (HOA rule). So when I want to use it I pick up the front and roll it out to hook it up to my truck.
I decided to buy a wheel from Amazon for the jack to roll it out instead of carrying it. That works fine, but when I jack it up as high as it goes, I only have about 2-3" clearance from the ground when on my truck.
I'm worried that isn't enough, especially going to mow my other property where I have a gravel driveway that dips down as you go off the road and up to the property. Is that amount of clearance enough for driving and going over uneven ground? Should I try to find a smaller wheel for more clearance?

You’re going to rip it off and break stuff.

You should buy a swivel jack with caster. They have a pin that lets the jack rotate 90 degrees. Any trailer supply and even Home Depot carry them.

Definitely not enough. You need a jack that swings up out of the way when on the truck.

Thanks gents for the replies. That is what I thought, will get a swing away jack.

I have a wheel on my utility trailer. I just take it off when hooked to the truck. It isn't just a pin and replaces the foot plate thing?

Yep, that is what I have done the 2 times I have used it since getting the wheel, is hook it up and I have just enough room to drop the wheel.
