Lot of drama surrounding this movie.
Universal at one point tried to get them to pull The Mummy title because it doesn't really fit in with the franchise more broadly.
There were some rumors about test screenings going poorly, but it seems like that is BS based on some stuff I've seen online.
It's definitely going to be different...

I enjoyed his Evil Dead movie a lot, so I'll give this a chance. I appreciate them going back to horror with it.

I wish a real horror movie would get made where they are actually trapped in a pyramid with the mummy and you get all of the bugs, traps, snakes, etc type stuff that you can do with it. Similar to The Pyramid but not found footage.
