So is CWD Buffer Zone now in Avoyelles and Point Coupee Parish? On border of St Landry?

Seems like it is or is going to be in 2026. No feeding with stationary feeders or feed piles. It’s reached the border of St Landry Parish it seems. Traveling south along the basin. Wont be long until St Landry is inside buffer zone. What do y’all think about this? Please Advise on the facts if I’m reading LWF webpage wrong.

If it is possible, a good food plot beats the pants off of anything a broadcast feeder or spread corn/bran could do.
If you’re able to plant, go get yourself 100# oats
50# winter wheat
50# winter peas
Per acre and fertilize the hell out of it. Remove the supplemental feed altogether and you will see more daylight deer.

Might be good if you own the land and own 10 acres or more but last thing any timber company or landowner wants is for you to remove trees and make a garden or a field.

Yup checked out the maps and looks like St Landry going to go into the buffer zone next year or so. A lot of feeding going on there. Not gonna be allowed. Get ready.
