If it is possible, a good food plot beats the pants off of anything a broadcast feeder or spread corn/bran could do.

If you’re able to plant, go get yourself 100# oats
50# winter wheat
50# winter peas

Per acre and fertilize the hell out of it. Remove the supplemental feed altogether and you will see more daylight deer.

but the thing that no one saw coming was the NIL era.

NIL is not the problem. Also, the solution is ridiculously easy to fix. Reinstate the traditional transfer rules and do away with waivers.

Give athlete 6 years to play 4.
1 redshirt year
1 transfer year, athletes are ineligible to play on the transfer year but doesn’t lose the year for eligibility.

So if schools want to tamper and poach a player, that’s fine, said player will sit for a year and get NIL money with zero production.

This would slow down the roster poaching, protect players as well as programs from rebuilding every season.

this isn't true

Maybe 40k tops replaced by cane

From its peak in 1980 rice acreage is down 150k to what it was this year

A lot more replaced by development, saltwater intrusion, and a lot of land that used to be rice in western vermillion, Cameron, lower Calcasieu is just grown up in grass/trees or used as pasture

Does any of this refute the sentiment of my statement? Or do you just want to nitpick?

So down 40k to cane and 110k acres to fallow land or development?

Thats roughly 230 square miles of habitat lost in Louisiana. You’re telling me that doesn’t have an impact on migration?
All this dude is good for is sound bites. He has accomplished nothing since he went to DC.

As far as the lack of ducks in Louisiana is concerned.

1. Mild dry fall weather patters, mild winters allows for more natural food sources are available longer.

2. Breeding and staging habitat have been reduced due to subsidies for corn ethanol.

3. More corn equals more food, less migration.

4. Flooding and aeration of agricultural crops in the upper Midwest keeping food sources and water available much later into the season.

5. Duck season starts to early, or we need a longer split and extend the closing date of the 2nd split another 3-4 weeks.

6. Agricultural shift in Louisiana. Where rice once dominated the landscape, sugar cane has become more profitable and has taken over hundreds of thousands of acres that were once rice.

4, 5 & 6 are the only things that can be done to help with the lack of birds down in Louisiana.

For SE La, you boys need more diversions off of the Miss River to bring back freshwater/brackish marsh. Good luck with that.

Why should the US continue to do Israel’s bidding?

Israel is only looking out for Israel, at the expense of everyone else. That includes dual citizen Zionist.

There is a huge difference between Jewish people and Zionist.

If accurate, which I have my doubts, this is treasonous. With that being said it would fall in the gray area of Article III and likely wouldn’t lead to any convictions.

Kudos to the Trump administration.

US assets were not moved to the coast of Venezuela to splash cocaine-running speedboats, and Trump never actually believed that those boats were running "fentanyl." That was all a smokescreen for positioning the military assets necessary for the raid that captured Maduro. The legality of splashing those boats may still be questionable, but it was a DAMNED clever maneuver.

Kudos to whoever came up with the idea and kudos to Trump for approving it. Even more impressive is the fact that Trump HAD to have been told that he would be attacked regarding the legality of splashing those boats, and he chose to absorb those attacks to provide cover for the real mission. He is so thin-skinned, I would not have thought he would have agreed to anything like that, but he did. Double kudos to him for that.

If you really thought this was about drugs then you’re naive.

1.6% of NCAA football players will earn spot on NFL roster.

NiL is for 98.4% who have no chance. Unfortunately, most of 98.4% will spend it on stupid chit. Nearly 100% chance for stupid chit.

As for HS recruits hopeful for either / both…They are in short term bubble, an after thought…come 10+ years later. Fact.

Bastardized amateur and professional system needs structural reinvention to take bastardization out.

The majority of those players won’t even find a roster.

Just depends on what application you plan on using your suppressor for. Box blind, range shooting, tripod stand. It all makes a difference in how easy it is to get on target.

I have a PTR Vent 1, it’s unbelievable, but it’s a 9” can and tough to get in and out of the windows in my Sportsman Condos.

I also have a Dead Air Nomad Ti that’s 7” and it’s really good too, just not as good. The Nomad is much easier to hunt with in most of my stands.
I believe less than half of portal players actually find a new program.

So you aren’t worried about tranny issues? The issues are so bad Allison is ending its relationship with gm starting the first of the year.

GM/Chevy hasn’t ran Allison transmissions in like 3 years or so. It’s the licensing branding that is contractually expiring.

Ford and GM run the exact same transmission.

after every year, guys on a traditional track to being drafted after three years, are entering the portal for a pay raise. Continuity can be good for a player’s development, and sticking around is great for the team. Will this “hello I’m gone” bit ever stop? Or is progressing at one school a thing of the past? The NFL cares little for a kid’s loyalty, so no help there. There was a time when we could look at our roster and say “ok we took our lumps but we’re a year away or we’re two years away”. Not any more fosters turn over and flip more than a Vegas whore.

Just be glad you’re a fan of a program that has some prestige and is in the SEC.

You’re not nearly as effected as a lower tier P4 program or G6 program.

You’re missing the point, there are 65ish P4 teams. Of those 65 only the traditional top 1/3 of each league can realistically have a shot at winning the Title.

That's a playoff a team like Tulane could win. Two separate 8 team playoffs would be fair enough. 12 may be too many...

The ironic part of this argument is that everyone in the Big 10, Big 12, ACC or SEC can win a title.

Miss St, Vandy, Kentucky, and Arkansas have a near zero chance of winning a title either. shite Arkansas and Miss St have won what 2 SEC games in the past 3 seasons?

quote:

75-80 teams will never be able to win a National Championship

There are 130 FBS teams, I think, and less than 20 have a realistic shot at winning a National Championship.

ACC has 3 maybe 4 teams capable of putting that together. Big12 has 2 or 3 tops. Big 10 has 5ish. SEC has 6 or 7.

ACC: Miami, FSU, Clemson & SMU
Big 12: Texas Tech, BYU, Utah, ASU
Big 10: Ohio State, Michigan, Penn St, Wisconsin, Nebraska
SEC: Bama, UGA, Tenn, Texas, A&M, OU, LSU, Florida, Auburn

That’s realistically the only teams who have a legitimate shot to sustain a program long enough to compete year in and year out.

Every other program is either coattails riders or has zero chance of winning it all.
