CCA site would not give me the state chapter leadership info this morning.
IMO, use I-10 as your line and contact the chapter closest to you for the North La guys.

Contact your rep, they will either call you back or not. If they don't, you have your answer on whether or not you should vote for them again. We need to be the grease on that squeekey wheel in BR. If there aren;t any voters banging on their door it;s easy for our reps to vote status quo.
Don't let them off the proverbial hook.

Ched, compose another letter we can use but this time it needs to go to our reps. Our letters need to be sent all at one time so we need to let the letter spread before hitting send.

This is the only way we as citizens of Louisiana will ever get any traction against the Pogie Mafia.

The new chairman for LWFC is a north Louisiana Baw not affiliated with the commercial fishing industry so maybe there will be some common sense there

He voted against the pogie mafia this last round

However the newly appointed vice chairman (south Louisiana Baw) voted for the pogie mafia

Was so disappointing to watch how the livestream played out when it came time to vote.

"ok there's a lot of opposition, but yep I'm in favor!"

What's disppointing is they opened the "comment period" then "extended" whereby trashing all the comments that were already submitted.

If you submitted a comment previously you HAVE to resubmit the same for it to become part of the record.

Not going to happen, they stack the commission with commercial interest.
The commission meetings are legaleeze for the analeeze the people of Louisiana get from their votes. They have to adhere to the open meeting law, publish time/date/information, the votes have already been made. You or I will never show up and change the preordained outcome, NEVER!

I am not against working with the crazy tree huggers to push the buffer zone through. Would love to get some pics of FLIPPER in the nets dead, that would get some traction with the nut jobs.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend

If you; drink/fish/hunt/golf/dine with a legislator or have a friend that is buddies with one, use that relationship to get into their ear.

CCA Louisiana has been notified, maybe (BIG MAYBE) they will get out infront of this.

Reading the tea leaves on other states fight, Florida specifically, Louisiana needs a constitutional amendment. Florida had 72% of their voters vote in favor of the state water ban on purse seines.
A constitutional amendment also makes it highly unlikely that it can be over turned in the future. It also takes away any power of the La WL&F commission.
Strangely, there are several organizations out there that are fighting for menhaden LINK LINK and have been absent for our fight.

Not sure if they were not invited/consulted or just ignored completely. I will contact both very soon and find out if they are interested in our fight.
Stay tuned, there is more to come.
