and announced savings from his LA - DOGE program
quote:
The office that investigates public corruption and white-collar criminal fraud across the state has a new leader after Gov. Jeff Landry on Thursday announced he is appointing Angele Davis as Louisiana inspector general and intends to “reform” the office to include work on government efficiency efforts.
Landry said he will enlist the help of lawmakers to determine exactly what changes to make to the Office of State Inspector General, and he said they likely will be heartened to have an executive branch official dedicated to finding “efficiencies in state government.”

I hope Angele Davis is a difference maker.

Just heard her on the radio. She said one govt agency has been mailing correspondence from one floor in the building to another... at a cost of over $500k/year

I like the idea if it were anyone but Landry doing the appointing.
