Obviously theres been alot of 2019 LSU vs Indiana discourse lately. Reddit, Twitter, etc. This obviously entails alot of people disrespecting 2019 LSU, debating that 2019 Ohio State was just as good. That we barely beat Clemson in the final. That OSU looked "better in their showing vs clemson" than LSU but they shite the bed at the end of their game. yada yada.
Irks me a little bit to see how the 2019 natty is remembered in online discourse a mere 7 years later.
Yes, LSU had a very slow, and frankly UNLUCKY start to the game. LSU's first 2 possessions started at their own 7 and their own 4 yard line. 1st play of the game is a 40 yard pass to Moss, negated by penalty. Nightmare 1st quarter that resulted in Clemson being up 17-7 with 10 minutes left in the 2nd quarter.
LSU then proceeds to bitch slap and outscore Clemson 38-8 in the next 40 minutes of gameplay. This includes KNEELING OUT the game at the Clemson 4 yard line!
LSU essentially outscored a Clemson team on a 29 game win streak 45-8 in the final 40 minutes of a game?
and people are remembering this shite as CLOSE?

It wasn’t close after we switched up our call signs so Clemson couldn’t steal them anymore

LSU slow start was believed to be because Clemson had our signals. After it was figured out and we changed them up, that’s when the game changed.

Every year since then, there's a new team that's "better" than 2019 LSU.
If any of them were, 2019 LSU wouldn't be the go-to.

2019 LSU is the new 2001 Miami who was the new 1995 Nebraska. The team that great teams are compared to. I'm OK with that.
