I drive early mornings when it’s dark…still crazy to me when I see brights coming my way …80% don’t shut theirs off. Even after multiple flashes.

Are people just not being taught proper driving nowadays? I hate these people almost as much as cyclists.

If you are one of these people, do you just dgaf? Or are you retarded?

Like in many other areas of life these days, a sizeable number of people just don't give a frick about anyone else.

A combination of selfishness and stupidity.

Much like people who drive with no lights or just the daytime running lights (no rear lights).

I really think car technology has bypassed the intelligence of most of the public.

^ beat me to it

And on the flip side there seems to be more people driving with no lights at night. I see it all the time.

I feel like OP is one of those drivers that confuses the new headlights with brights.

I pretty commonly get flashed in my truck when my brights are off. sorry the headlights are bright but they arent the brights

There are also people that have regular beams that are LEDS and are just as bright as “brights” - a lot of this is factory now and it’s insanely dangerous. No headlights should be white; they should all be yellowish/off white evenif LEDs

I drive all over the country mainly in the early mornings - theres a lot of people that just leave their brights on. It's absolutely annoying but my lights are brighter and I hit them with the high beams in return.

I jumped ITT specifically to bitch about truck lights such as yours. I'm sure they are great when you're the one using them and you get all of the visibility that comes with them. But they are an enormous pain in the arse for everyone else on the road. Manufacturers need to find a happy medium there with the wattage.

We've had the auto lights on cars now for a decade and morons still haven't figured out that their tail lights don't come on in the rain or fog.

It's ridiculous. Completely blinds people coming the opposite direction.

Thankfully sunset is getting late enough where it won't be an issue.

Because the car "does it for them," so why pay any attention as you drive? I continually turn my auto brights off when approaching an intersection at a perpendicular angle, or merging onto an interstate. The front facing camera can't "see" headlights that are not pointed directly at them, so they don't switch the brights off.

And I've never seen Harris or Houston PD pull over a single f'ing driver with only their parking lights on at 0530 on I-10.

Multilane highway?

If there is a median separating laned traffic headlights dont have to be dimmed to opposite travel lanes.

Just saying.

I get though.

Pain in the arse.

Probably part of a gang initiation where if you flash your lights at them they chase you down and kill you...

Or so a chain email in the 90s told me

If there's a median it won't blind people coming the other way.

Most likely don’t care. They prefer more coverage of the road with their headlights than worry about it bothering you
