Question About Home Chipping Nets

I want to get one but wonder about their effectiveness. I would have to use it in my living room or hallway and of course chipping an actual golf ball could do some damage.
If I am reading the ads right, these nets come with foam or some other kind of lighter “pretend” balls for indoor use. Fine, but are you really improving your shotmaking ability if you are not practicing with an actual golf ball?

Get a decent mat and a Net Return.
Has improved my chipping immensely, just from understanding different ball positions, face angles and overall ball striking.
You won’t damage anything in your house either, Net Returns are amazing.
Plus you can move it outside or a big enough space and take full swings.
