Did Popeyes change the breading on their tenders?

Had Popeyes original tenders yesterday for the first time in a couple years.
Picked them up from the drive thru and didn't check them until I got home.
The breading was super dark, extra dense, had kind of a sweet taste and had several spots of raw batter on a couple of the tenders.
Did Popeyes change their breading recently?
They were not good at all.

No. Sounds like yours weren't cooked properly.

They for sure changed their biscuits. Used to be a treat. Now are almost inedible. Copeland still style the original style Popeyes biscuits. No where near as dry and hockey puck like.

They excel with their signature chicken and sweet tea.

Didn't they swap cooking oils not too long back.
They used to make biscuits in-house. Would be flour all over the floor. Not anymore.

Most likely, they are frozen and no longer made in house.
The best fast food biscuit today is either Bojangles or Chick-fil-A.

No, my daughters always ordered them and I ordered regular chicken. Tenders are the way to go and the biscuits on Government St. have been on point lately. Actually taste fresh, nice change.
